IT ALERT: Monday HAM Campus Network Latency and Service Disruptions

What is happening?

Offsite construction, unrelated to Gordon-Conwell, damaged ISP cabling on Friday. This has resulted in area Internet service disruptions impacting the Hamilton campus and beyond. Our provider continues work to repair the damage and restore services, however, resolution before Monday campus operations remains tentative.

The GCTS Hamilton campus may continue to experience network latency and disruptions.
Users may experience network lag or inability to connect to services.

What is affected? This may temporarily impact these services:

On-campus Wi-Fi
On-campus wired connections
VPN connections
Share drive access
RingCentral phones

What do I need to do?

Technology Services continues monitoring the repair effort and advocating for GCTS needs.

Limit on-campus virtual meetings (MS Teams, Zoom, etc.) to audio only.
