Zoom Translated Captions
Zoom translation captioning is currently in Beta testing at GCTS and requires additional licensing. All participants of meetings hosted by licensed users have access to this functionality. Translate captions into another language If the speaker is presenting in another language and you want the captions to be generated into your language, Zoom can translate the captions into your preferred language in real-time. Select the Show Captions button. Captions will appear above the controls toolbar.By default, English is set as the speaking language the captions are generated in. Next to the Show Captions button, click the up caret button Under My Speaking Language, select the language that you are speaking. Under Translate To or My Caption Language choose the language you would like the captions to display in. Once a different language is chosen, captions will be generated and translated into that language for you. Each participant can choose their own caption language. Note: Choice of language will be saved and applied to future meetings. (Recommended): Select View Full Transcript to view the full running transcript along the right side of the screen. (Optional): Select Show Original and Translated to view the original spoken language and translated language captions. For additional information, click here to view the full Zoom instructions.
